Investigating machine learning within physical musical instruments. Giving an international research project a strong brand presence.
Brand Identity
Musically Embodied Machine Learning

Backed by UK Research & Innovation and powered by a global network of leading industry partners, Musically Embodied Machine Learning (MEML) is a groundbreaking research project pushing the boundaries of how we create and interact with sound. Focused on the intersection of music, technology, and embodied interaction, the project is reimagining what musical instruments can be.
To support such an ambitious and evolving initiative, a flexible and future-facing brand identity was designed – one that could grow alongside the research, adapt across platforms, and resonate with both academic and creative communities.
The branding system was designed to work seamlessly across digital, print, and presentation formats. Whether appearing in academic journals, international conferences, or interactive web experiences, the identity remains coherent and recognisable.
The result is a brand identity that not only supports MEML's current work, but is built to grow with the project as it continues to innovate in sound and interaction.

A brand identity that connects with both academic and creative audiences, whilst providing a flexible visual system that grows with the project.
