Dedicated to providing small, affordable loans to public sector workers who are often excluded by mainstream lenders, Salad Money is a social enterprise that uses Open Banking data instead of traditional credit scores, allowing them to offer a fairer, more inclusive way to assess affordability.

More than just a lender, Salad Money is committed to improving the financial well-being of its customers. Through ethical lending, financial education, and signposting to support services, the organisation empowers individuals to build long-term financial resilience, reinforcing its core mission to create a fairer, more accessible financial system.

Working closely with Salad Money, and its wider team, their annual Impact Report was created to not only communicate its yearly performance and social value, but to also act as a publication that resonated with its mission and the communities it serves.

Approached as a strategic visual storytelling project, with a strong emphasis on clarity and accessibility, the report struck a balance between professional presentation and human connection. Infographics and data visualisation were central to the report’s ability to communicate impact in an engaging and digestible way, whilst real story case studies highlighted the human impact of the organisation’s work.

Throughout the process, close collaboration with Salad Money’s internal team ensured the tone, language, and visuals remained aligned with their values and audience expectations.

The finished Impact Report successfully embodied Salad Money’s commitment to ethical finance and community-driven change. It stood as both a transparent record of performance and a persuasive communication tool, reinforcing trust with stakeholders and demonstrating the tangible value delivered over the past year.
